Honda Motorcycle Luggage

How do I take the saddlebags off of my motorcycle?

I can’t figure out how to take these off.
It’s a Honda GoldWing GL1000 luggage set.
I have one key – the key opens the luggage bags but doesn’t work to take the bags off of their frame (the key goes in seemingly about half way as if it were too short and does not turn, maybe I’m doing something wrong?).
The key is numbered 425 and all four keyholes are numbered the same.
Do you usually get two keys, one to open the bags and one to take the bags off or do you usually get one key for both?
Is there a button you have to press?
Abra Cadabra didn’t work, neither did Open Saysame – I already tried.
I bought this set used from a trusted seller but we are both unfamiliar with how to take these off.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Work it like Chris says.
It may be hung up with corrosion.
I’m willing to bet that you have found half of the missing key.
(I gave up gambling a very long time ago.)

Gear slips into the motorcycle?

My Honda Shadow VLX 99 600 cruise in 4th gear slips. Accelerates, but does not move upward. What How serious is this? And how I can diagnose and fix the problem?

You need a new clutch – 4th gear on you are under par for gear but you still pullin the same weight, but at a lower rpm, what really counts slipping on the road than just an adjustment gears. The clutch cable to work is whether the cable was already strong and not allow the clutch to close all way.On most all motorcycle clutch is constantly engaged until you pull the lever clutch and plates separate. There is basically no clutch adjustment, but cable adjustments to maintain proper tension on the wire, usually about 1 / 16 to 1 / 8 inch free play.Put a new clutch in it and was speedin in the room with a lot of energy.

Malaysians plagued by poor purchasing power
KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 — Malaysians who find themselves affording less than their contemporaries overseas have distorted and inefficient markets, lack of competition, low wages and a weak ringgit to thank for their poor purchasing power, which in the case of KL, is only 34 per cent that of New York.

Motorcycle windshields Or Honda Accessories Which To Get

Riding a motorcycle these days is not only fun but with today’s gas prices it is also quite economical. The only problem with riding a bike is that their is a serious lack of storage unless you happen to have a Goldwing or maybe a Harley Dresser youre going to need some saddlebags or some sort of tank bag to carry your stuff in. Their are ups and downs to both choices and some of it also depends on your motorcycle. If you have a cruiser your ideal choice is probably some sort of saddlebags or luggage type bags. For Sport Bikes the easy answer is likely to be a tank bag. http://www.idealhere.com/wholesale-Motoring_c1

If you have a cruiser choosing a saddlebag for your ride is really a matter of taste. Their are so many too choose from its not even funny. Motorcycle saddlebags come in a variety of styles. Most are made of some type of leather or a synthetic material. Modern Saddlebags generally have a hard case liner in side which keeps the shape of the bag. When choosing a saddle bag it is best to choose something that will look good on your motorcycle. If you get something you don’t like you are not as likely to use it. Bags come with studs and fringes and even locks if you want. You can choose from either permanently mounted saddle bags or ones that can easily come off the bike. I recommend you get some that can be removed easily so they can be carried in with you if you are planning to ride your bike to work or some other place where you will be away from the bike for a while. Most motorcycle saddle bags can be removed easily and put back on just as quickly.

If you decide on some that mount permanently make sure they lock. Some of your more popular saddlebag makers are Saddlemen, Saddle Stow, Willie and Max, Ace, and ZR. Their are more brands than these but these are the major manufacturers for motorcycle saddlebags. Most of these are easily mounted and come with all the necessary hardware. Also T-Bags makes some really nice Sissy Bar Bags that have a decent amount of storage space. T-Bags also makes motorcycle luggage to fit most cruisers as well as sport bikes.

For sport bike riders the preference tends to be a tank bag. Since saddlebags tend to lean more towards the classic look they aren’t to appealing to riders of sport bikes. Tank Bags are actually a great alternative to saddlebags, most are expandable and can carry quite a bit of stuff as wells as that most tank bags have side pockets for extra storage. Most tank bags use a magnetic mounting system in combination with a strap that ties of to the steering head of the bike. This makes it really easy to pull the tank bag of and on with out it being a big pain. This makes it easy to take off the bike and carry with you if you plan on being away from the bike for a while. Most of these bags also have a carrying handle which makes it even easier for you to carry the bag with you. http://www.idealhere.com/wholesale-Windshield_c350

Their are a lot of different tank bag sizes available so it is important to pick a size the will suit your needs. I recommend one that is expandable which will allow you to make it compact or expand it for more capacity when needed. Also when picking a tank bag you want to pick one that is water resistant in case you get caught in a down pour. Most tank bags are either made from water resistant material or come with a built in rain cover.

Is it hard to learn how to Ride a Sports motorcycle?

Im planning on getting a Honda CBR 600RR As my first motorbike. Im convinced im going to get it. im 17. I bought a Armor jacket, armor gloves,Knee protector and helmet. I dont like going to fast i dont like speed. How long would it take for me to learn it? How dangerous are motorcycles? (for people like me at least who dislike speed and are very catious). I know i know if i dont like speed why am i getting a bike but still i find them intresting and unique. anything else i gotta know before buying the bike? So i wont regret at least. Roads where i live are abit Bumpy and have rocks and stuff.

The problem with the CBR is not that it’s so powerful that you won’t be able to control it. The problem is that it’s a serious single-purpose motorcycle and not friendly for beginners. If there’s a motorcycle junkyard in your area, take a walk through it and you’ll see a dozen or more of these bikes–CBR, GSX-R, R1/R6, etc.–with <5000 miles on the speedo and the forks bent back against the frame, or one side ground off. Even just -dropping- this bike, in a parking lot, can cost you $1500 in replacement plastic.

The biggest single problem (I think) is the steering. The steering geometry is very sensitive, almost 'twitchy'. Just cough and you go into the ditch. 8^) (Well, okay, not that bad).

Young guys do get these bikes to learn on, and some do learn on them. I'm not saying you can't, but it's not the optimum bike for a beginner. I don't blame you for wanting a CBR because it really is a great motorcycle. But you really should see it as something to work up to.

My advice (for what it's worth, which is not much) would be to start out on a used bike. A 5 year old bike, say for instance. A Honda 599 would be ideal, because it has the same engine as the CBR 600 except with a wider powerband so it's easier to learn. After a year or so you could sell this bike for about what you paid for it (bikes don't depreciate much after the first 5 years or so). And then you could graduate to your CBR. But after a year you might decide you really wanted an R6 or a ZX-6 or something.
