Wiring the 94 ranger brake / tail / turn lights,,, almost did it, but where am I doing wrong?
long story short replace …- 94 w/87 bed bed which only fit a set of five wire harness 94 and had a 6 wire (3 lamp) lens cover .. The bed 87 only fits the two-bulb style lenses … anyway, I hooked a 5-pin plug of 92 using two lamps and everything worked except the brake lights … investigated and discovered that I have to take the sixth (Green) from the harness 94 and run "T" in each wire turn signal. I did this and thought I had it fixed but now notice that the left or intermittent flash right back so far. I know, duh … because I have short … but how I can get brake, tail and turn on a light bulb 92 as it has done? My next thought is to take the green wire and run it to brown on each side / heat / cable line instead of the flasher cables … would that work?
In the 87 did not have a separate cable brake light. The brake lights are lit by the turn signal wires. The cable brake light switch goes through intermittent switch. Allows brake light work while the other flashes when you step on the brake with the turn signal goes. Had 94 separate brake and turn signal lamps, so it did not have brake lights go through the flasher switch. In other words, it will not work. With 87 beds, you need in some way by the turn signal lamp flashing brake light, and the truck has no way.
