How to identify faucet seat washer type.?
I encountered a leaky bathtub compression faucet. When I had removed the stems, I found the original seat washers worn away to nothingness on both hot and cold faucets. So without knowing the original style how do I choose a replacement washer? Should I choose beveled, flat, etc… Oh and how do I “size” the washers?
Washers are cheap, buy both styles and get the ones that fit and fill the inside of the cup on the stem!
