Cr125 with cylinder scratch.?

I have a cr125 from 2001, in good condition, running with its 5th piston in now (A). The cylinder has a shined region running from the top of the exhaust port to the top of the cylinder. You cant feel it when u run your fingernail over it, but its shiny with no cross-hatch like the rest of the cylinder. do you think its possible to hone it and use the B piston or will I go through the Nicasil coating?
the cooling system is fine, im not eating up rings or pistons. just uniform wear. im supposed to change the piston every 22.5 hours of operation. the jetting is spot on, as well as the timing. basics are covered as im a mechanical engineer, i just was looking for someone with experience with this this bike or situation.
sleeving reduces thermal conduction between your cylinder liner and cooling jacket and your piston will run a bit hotter just FYI..

Have you checked your compression with a gauge?
Are you burning up rings quicker than usual?
