Motorcycle Highway Lights
How fast is a 250cc motorcycle, 300cc?
I am a 250 pound man on a motorcycle looking for affordable. I do not need a power of a bicycle. I'll go around town and go to roads with a speed limit of 55MPH. There are two bikes I'm looking at the 300CC to 250CC and weighing between 300 and 425 pounds. Maybe you can answer me in terms of 0-60. I these are not fast at all, especially when put next to a Harley Fat Boy can run around 1200 cc but after all what would be my first bike. I was not looking at the races just wanted to know if it was fast enough to accelerate and maintain speed on my local roads without lugging the engine. I did not want a 00-60 = half the speed of smell. I do not need some jerk honking at me after every red light / Stop sign to be slow.
