Need Help – with my bike alarm project!!!!?

I am trying to make a bike alarm and am currently looking at circuits I could make. I have found one that is suitable for a motorcycle but could it also be used for a bicycle. Please have a look and tell me if its suitable.. also any construction techniques i’m a complete beginner but its for my GCSE .
