Chopper running rough. S & s motor. One escape is clean and dry. One is dark soot. What is my problem?
Chopper running raw. S & s motor. One exhaust is clean and dry. One is all dark soot. What is my problem? Its for a helicopter Carberated bear. Escape is not oily or wet, simply accumulate soot black and the other pipe is clean and dry. bike has less than 1000 miles.
spark plug wires first control and change the spark plugs one hole to the other .. if it moves the problem you have a socket is bad .. bike fuel injected or carburetor? .. could have a loss Vacuum or crankcase ventilation problem .. if there is adequate ventilation, the oil is forced past the rings need a little more information which really helps .. 30 + years exp. and happy to help if I can. sounds like a plug wire or coil .. question since it is a low mileage engine would contact me with s & s.. that have great product support staff .. may well be a problem with the crank case breather .. more offten affects the rear cyl .. large gasp air engines much oily. have you changed anything like clean air or vent pipe that might have started it? after thinking a bit .. and looking at mine .. Soot is perhaps good. a vacuum leak in the "clean" might make you stumble and run rough
