Can a bike becomes a mountain bike?
Seat Comfort raising the handlebars (stock) as much as possible-more thin tires, as well as support the collection of tires rear seat — I have a mountain bike that rides very smooth, and changes without problems.
It will work fine. Last time I was in college I turned my rigid mountain bike to a flyer and went almost all day, 22 miles round trip in city traffic. I put the spots on the street in it and saddlebags mounted on a Blackburn rack. I see no need to raise mother any more than the normal position of mountain biking, and do not recommend this change at first because the normal position is high enough to see traffic, but gives a slight advantage aerodynamics. The only problem I had was bounced up clashes against vigorously. I wish I had neither a or lockout suspension fork. Even if you're riding at night I recommend front and rear lights. They are cheap and increase your visibility much. I'm happy to hear that there will be fewer passengers a car on the road. Be aware that many people driving cars are not fully awake in the early morning then to be extra alert.
